What could be the reason of increasing flow of Nepalese going abroad for employment in the past few decades? Students are going abroad, adults are going abroad and this only leads to development.
There could be a simple solution for this… For the Human Resource to stay in Nepal and create growth here in Nepal. The solution here is “OPPORTUNITY“. If only we could create and provide opportunities in Nepal then we could hardly deny the upward shift of individual and national level graphs. So, how do we do this? Where are the opportunities? and such questions could arise. Here’s how Cellapp with UNDP Nepal and SmartPalika is taking a step forward to create more than 1,00,000 opportunities in Nepal, specially for those who have been working abroad and affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 pandemic has unemployed many of the Nepalese all over the world. So, to create and provide them opportunities here in Nepal, we with UNDP Nepal and SmartPalika have initiated “SipShala“.
SipShala
SipShala is an AI powered technology which basically connects the opportunity seekers with the providers with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. All we need to do is login to the system and fill up a set of question list with our detailed skills info. Then we can choose among the different opportunities that shows up in our profile and get chance to work according to our skills. SipShala provides opportunities in terms of Employment, Partnerships, Investments, Collaborations and much more. Both the opportunity creators and seekers can login and use this system for free to create and grab opportunities in Nepal.
You can get to know more and participate from these links:

It’s us who make a better society. We are all part of it. Now is the time for us to give something back when our society needs us.
Today is the 46th day of lock-down in Nepal. Who would have ever thought about this situation? We’ve all faced the disaster and had one of our most difficult times. Also we’re witnessing the economy crumble.
However, I guess there are some positives which we can pick out. The general facts such as being safe from the virus, a positive change in the climate condition and many more are there. But I would like to focus here about personal development and capitalizing the crisis for productivity. (Productivity here means providing something to the society from our side as a part of CSR)
Let’s get started with Personal Development
There was a busy time in our life where we wished we had more time so that we could focus on our growth. Well, we’ve got one. But did we fully utilize it? Maybe yes for some and no for many. I was also the part of that ‘many‘ category for the first few days. Thereafter, with sessions and guidance from my mentor, I’d realized that being a Digital Marketer this is the time where I can learn best and know about the market psychology even better. Well, I’ve worked on it and seen the changes. That was from a personal experience but the opportunity for growth in this time is for everybody willing to learn and grow.
How were we productive in this Lock-down?
There is no hindrance for anyone who’s got the will to work hard. And for a team that’s got the same desire, “Productivity is inevitable“. This lock-down where the economy has crumbled and businesses have fallen, we’ve managed to increase the level of our productivity. The crisis came unexpected but we’ve worked since day 1 for providing as much as we can to help fight this situation.
We’ve also developed a full fledged COVID-19 Response System with features such as Quarantine Management, Live Tracking Contact Tracing, Relief Management, Volunteer Management and many more. The system is also announced free for all the Local Government Bodies of Nepal. It is already in use for 80+ Local Governments including 3 Metro Cities and the work still goes on. ( A Timeline of our Project: HERE)
What to conclude from this?
To sum up, there’s no stopping the willingness to do or the desire to learn and grow. We’ve got a crisis situation here and as a part of the society it is our responsibility to give something back at such time. Such belief and work done upon it will only lead to positives and productive society. By being productive I mean to give back to the society as a part of our CSR. This lock-down is indeed a difficult time for all of us but the choice on how to face it and what to do in this period depends all upon us. There are many choices but I guess what matters the most at the end will be how much did we bring out of ourselves during this time.

Here are some highlights of our cellapp innovations team before the Lockdown
It is a proud moment for us Nepalese that six young Entrepreneurs from Nepal have made the list of Forbes, an American business journal’s stories of young innovators and entrepreneur.
They are the changemakers who have been added to the list of for social entrepreneur, retail & e-commerce, and athlete. These young innovators and entrepreneurs have made their mark in their respective fields and now have set an example to the whole nation.
Here, these are the heroes who are listed in the Forbes list of 30 under 30 Asia list 2020. Lets congratulate them:
Being a Nepali citizen it is hard in terms of completing a task at any Government office. Everyone of us have had our problems with the current Governance system. And yet we haven’t got a proper solution for it. So, to know what people are looking for on this, I conducted a small survey. The result: They all want “Good Governance”. Yes, it is true- we all do want Good Governance, don’t we? But what if we bring Good Governance out of “Smart Governance”?
“Smart Governance”. Yes you got it right. At this time in the world where we keep saying that everything is possible with technology. So why not Re-engineer Governance?
But is it possible in Nepal? Yes, it actually is and to let you know, the work has already been initiated and implemented in Nepal. If you are not aware on this then FYI this revolution is going on with SmartPalika.
SmartPalikahas already taken the initiative of Re-engineering Governance to make smart Nepal. They have created and provided Smart Governance system to different parts of the country. With their system they have already impacted over 700000 people and 27 Local Government bodies. This Governance system benefits both the Government and the public. It assists the local government to keep digital records of all their citizens and activities in their areas. The modules are categorized into 3 parts: Smart Communication, Smart Governance and Smart Information. In short, every local government related work is digitized.
SmartPalika ERP system
But what about us, the general public? We still are looking for how it benefits us, aren’t we? Not a case to worry because this SmartPalika apps best benefits us. With this Smart Governance system we can perform the local level government activities on our mobile devices. Services such as creating Digital Household, Individual and Local Government Profile, connecting with the respected Mayor, getting emergency services, vital Registrations applications, Digital Citizen Charter and other local level activities for which you regularly face problems visiting your ward offices.
Therefore, the revolution of Smart Governance is already on the go. SmartPalika’s work is still going on and the aim is Governance Re engineering in every part of the country to make Smart Nepal. We all need this kind of system so that we would not need to face problems that we are facing while visiting and getting work done at the government offices. So let us all participate in this project and spread the idea of Re-engineering the Governance and making Smart Governance system all over Nepal because the current systems only works/will work for those (27) areas whose Government have agreed to make their service smart.
Now it is our responsibility to support, promote and uplift this thought of SmartPalika to make our country a smart country.
